“I especially want to thank Ruth for scheduling my wife’s respite visits and for understanding that I needed some rest as well if I were to continue to be there for my wife. Thanks also to our volunteer for allowing me the opportunity to catch some naps along the way.”

“After my son died my young grandson was devastated and his personality and behavior changed. Thank you so much for offering the Children’s Bereavement Camp. I sent you a stranger and you returned to me my grandson. I do not know the words to use to thank you.”

“Thank you so much for the grant funds to purchase the PT/INR unit. This equipment is so helpful to clinical staff and our patients. Many of our patients have very fragile veins. This can make a blood draw very difficult. The new PT/INR equipment does away with this painful procedure.

As an RN, I love that I can get instant test results. I can call the physician with up-to-the-minute numbers. This makes it simple and quick to adjust medication and gets the patient’s symptoms under control even more efficiently and effectively. It would be great if we could get another unit since this one is in great demand!

Please thank Operation Round Up and assure them that we are very grateful for the grant.”

“Thank you deeply for making John’s journey so comfortable.we all were relieved to see John so pain free and peaceful those last few days.”

“I included the Foundation for Hospice for Central Ohio in my will because I have volunteered for years and know the care and services they provide. I want to be able to continue to contribute after I am gone.”

“Thank you so much for all your help. I had no idea of how I would care for my daughter when I brought her home or how long she would live. I would never have made it without all your help and teaching. I especially want to thank Tami for her help, love and support. May God bless you all.”

“Thanks to Sue for giving my wife her last bath with such tender loving care. She stayed with me until her body was taken away and she will never know how very much those two acts of kindness meant to me.”

“Her son was in the Ohio State University Marching Band. As a senior sousaphone player, he had been chosen by fellow musicians to dot the ‘i’ in Script Ohio. She was in hospice care and had never seen him march-but this was an extraordinary occasion. Thanks to the Foundation for Hospice of Central Ohio, special arrangements were made for her-including individual transport, an accompanying nurse, and specialized equipment-so she was able to attend the game and see her son perform the most celebrated role in that legendary formation. She died just two weeks later.”

“THERE ARE ANGELS LIVING AMONG US AND THEY WORK ON THE SIXTH FLOOR AT THE SELMA MARKOWITZ CARE CENTER. The staff on that unit cared for my husband and allowed me to be with him his last few days as I was not well enough to care for him at home.”

“You don’t expect to lose your husband at such a young age. Nothing in life had prepared me for the overwhelming sense of loss especially when I was also facing such financial issues due to his disease. Thank you for caring for him and for me when no one else seemed to care.”

“We can’t think of enough ways to say thank you for the great party. You honored my mother on her 100th birthday, and you did way more than you should have! The beautiful flowers, the delicious cake, the balloon bouquet, and the boxes of her favorite cereals . . . you thought of everything. Bless all of you for being so kind, generous, and caring. We are honored to have you caring for mother and us too! You made her day so special.” — MARDY

“I wish to thank all the people who cared for my wife for their professionalism, their caring and their above the call of duty attitude. I especially want to thank Susie, without her and her soft spoken words of encouragement I would never have been able to continue. She cared for my wife in the most loving and tender way I have ever seen. She is the most unforgettable person I have ever met. Four words describe her, strength, endurance, love and devotion. I would also like to thank Rachel, her knowledge and caring attitude enable me to care for my wife through the various stage of her illness and keep her comfortable. She was always there when I needed her and she always knew the answers.”
